Everyone Draws with Eugene Clark
Students will work with master anatomy artist Eugene Clark. They will draw the bones and muscles of the human figure, then draw from the clothed model. This process allows students to master the human figure from the inside out.
This process has proven very successful for all art students wishing to develop an advanced portfolio for college application and for advanced placement portfolios. Artwork from the camp can frequently be seen as winners in various competitions!
Drawing is the key skill for all art careers and is essential for portfolio development
In addition to drawing with Eugene students will select either concept art, or, painting/ illustration, to complete their day.
Eugene Clark, has a 35 year career as an artist and speaker. His motivational messages have been received to critical acclaim nationally, putting him at the top of the corporate "wish list", for creativity training. In addition to overseeing his own creative arts firm, he is a professor at The College for Creative Studies, Detroit, MI, and Oakland University, Rochester Hills, MI. His personal work is published by Harper Prism, and has received commissions to create large-scale public art. He is selected to exhibit an outdoor sculpture in ArtPrize Nine & Ten, Grand Rapids, MI. He has six books to his credit, the most recent titled "Anatomical Illustration for the Figure Artist", being used as a text book in university art programs. His goal is to help students create the best strategies for success and he is a firm believer that creative thinking and doing are an essential component. He holds a BFA, College for Creative Studies, Detroit, MI, and an MFA, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI., with post-graduate study at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, MI. He recently received the "Distinguished Service Award" from the Michigan Art Education Association, presented at Cobo Hall, Detroit, MI.
With Audrey Benjaminsen
